Fairy Hill, Reynoldston
Fairyhill is a beautiful grade 2 listed Georgian building purchased by the Oldwalls Collection in 2016. The £1m development has taken 3 stages to complete.

In 2016, Bradbar was appointed to carry out the remodelling of the existing house to utilise the space for a hotel/restaurant. This iconic building was transformed in a short time frame and finished to the highest standards.

In 2017, Fairyhill acquired planning permission to extend the iconic building. The building was carefully thought out by architects, Swansea planning, CADW and the owners. To design a dramatic, picturesque, complementary yet affordable building with a curved structure proved to take some time but equally was fantastic when agreed.  The structure lightly touches the Georgian listed buildings and yet is barely noticeable from most angles, the modern meets old is the most impressive factor of this build.

The build is made up of a steel frame, with red cedar cladding and glass. The interior has wooden acoustic ceiling and a live wall to the rear. Now known as the ‘K Room’.  The K in K Room stands for Kaleidoscope

Inspired by the effect that the panoramic circular array of windows created, we couldn’t help but see the room as a fantastical portal that will take a myriad of happy couples “through the looking glass” to their magical dream wedding.

The K room was completed in march 2018.

Following on from the success of the K Room, Oldwalls Collection once again appointed Bradbar to complete the final stages of the development in 2018. The K Bedrooms.

Sitting directly below the K room, The K Rooms are 7 new bedrooms situated on the ground floor below the K Room; our 184-square-metre glass extension. These luxury bedrooms combine unparalleled comfort with state-of-the-art technology, including Sonos and Alexa music systems, LED lighting and Nespresso coffee machines. These rooms were unusual in the curved walls, and oval perimeter, however the finish and feel is second to none.
